Terrorism, the act of targeting civilians for political reasons. An infamous word all through the world, no matter where you go, even in taliban controlled territory it wouldn’t be hard to find somebody who disagrees with such actions. But in the US, terrorism has been the cause of a 19 year old war, one that has no end in sight and in which victory is yet to be defined. But you wouldn’t know that by simply watching the news. Having been bought by the military industrial complex, they have to make it look like the war on terrorism is popular and has been working. After all, how can you oppose the war on something as bad as terrorism?
Well if opposing the war on terrorism makes you terrorist sympathizer, then the US is under a national emergency seeing how, according to a survey by the Pew Research Center, only 43% of the nation approves of the Iraq war, the main war. It should also be pointed out that the US attacked the wrong nation, Iraq did not fund the terrorists that brought the towers down and sparked the war. The real funders were our biggest current ally, Saudi Arabia. According to released Top-Secret documents from the Treasury Department, the Saudi state began funding terrorist organizations since the 1990s allegedly all the way to 2006. But this last statement has been proven to be false recently, as close ties to terror groups in Yemen and the Saudi state where discovered after Saudi Arabia launched Air Strikes against the people of Yemen, according to The Washington Post, the casualties have been mostly civilians and Yemenian rebels that are not willing to simply lay down and die. The same paper also backs up the claim that the majority of the 9/11 hijackers were from Saudi Arabia. As Saudi Arabia keeps targeting civilians for political reasons, they also have begun to accuse Qatar, an american ally that hosts the US’s largest Middle Eastern base, of being funders of terrorist organizations. One can only speculate why the Saudis would want the US to sever ties with other Middle Eastern allies, of course, there is no need for speculations as the intent is crystal clear, with less US allies to back up militarily, more funds will be given to the biggest remaining allies. More weapons for Saudi Arabia will mean more Yemenian bodies and more bodies will mean more territory and less political opposition. But the ruthless slaughter of an entire nation’s citizens cannot go without any opposition and such opposition is bound to make some allies. Aks and IEDs can go a long way in keeping a powerful enemy at bay. Take Afghanistan as an example, according to the Long War Journal, the US has been there for 19 years and yet the Taliban still control an overwhelming amount of territory and fighting has only increased. But the US and Afghan Forces have managed to beat the Taliban at something, civilian casualties. According to The New York Times, the US reported on its 2019 quarterly report, pro-government forces had been the cause of 53% of the civilian deaths, the military tried to hide this fact by combining deaths and injuries when reporting on Taliban caused casualties, of course, this doesn’t add up mathematically. So seeing how their biggest ally overseas is unable to win a war against AK wielding rebels, it is only proof of the Saudi government’s ignorance. And in September 16, 2019, the kingdom of Saudi Arabia felt the heat of war. As Yemen rebels, backed up by Iran aircraft, conducted a drone strike on Saudi Oil facilities, which made the world’s biggest heads turn and witness the Yemenian struggle, sort of. In the US, this act of retaliation against the Terror state that is Saudi Arabia is being used to spark a war against their biggest ally, Iran. The overall situation is dire, a corrupt media bought by the military industrial complex, a religious Terror state allied to the most powerful imperialist military, the victims and their allies being demonized to spark yet another war. The future of the world is unpredictable, but one thing is surely to never come. Peace. |
