Less than a month before the Iowa caucus, which would determine who in the democratic race was more likely to end as the candidate to take on Donald Trump, it was clear that the senator from Vermont, Bernard Sanders, who has a long history of staying consistent to his believes in the world of politics, was the leading candidate to take the state, according to multiple polls that had him leading above Biden and Warren, who battled for the second spot. The battle carried on that way until two days before the last democratic debate to air before the Iowa caucus, as CNN dropped a report in which Sanders was accused of misogyny according to sources to CNN, the story was of Sanders telling a female candidate that a woman would never be president, the story painted Sanders telling Warren that a woman could never be president. At first this seems like a damning piece that could shatter the reputation Sanders has accumulated through his many years of political activism and career, that is until they clarify that the incident happened a year ago in a private dinner between Warren and Sanders and that the source is Warren herself, his opponent in the race. It does not help that Sanders urged Warren to run in 2016, but she instead forced him to run against Clinton and then endorsed her. Warren also attempted to clarify that she did not think of Sanders as a misogynist, but then went on to a rant about how she believes women can win no matter what others say, clearly making up strawmans and proceeding to bashing them. Warren also then attempted to claim she was the only one on stage to have beaten a republican in an election in the past 30 years, to which Sanders responded with “I was elected in 1990, 30 years ago,” this visibly confused Warren as it was clear the 30 year bit was orchestrated to exclude Sanders and his superior number of victories, while Warren only has two. This course of actions make it clear the Warren campaign is death rattling and acknowledges it by throwing all they have to the clear leading candidate, Bernard Sanders.

In the new decade of 2020, President Trump posted a low resolution png of the American flag shortly after obliterating the general of the Iranian forces while on his way to Iraq as a diplomat to cool down relations between Saudi Arabia, Iraq and Iran. This would mark the start of a mainstream media backed movement to manufacture consent into war with Iran, those that opposed the war would be called a terrorist sympathizer and videos of Iranians protesting the killing of their general would be buried by cherry picked footage of american sympathizers tearing down remembrance flags, to the disapproval of those around them. The Iran government promised revenge and took to Twitter, through a video of the previously mentioned post by President Trump in which the flag slowly rose into a flag covered coffin while the number of favs was replaced by US casualties, they made it clear that the assassination would be met with retaliation. Iran had also made it clear that they did not wish to harm any US civilians, for they were not to blame for the incompetence of their leadership. President Trump decided to respond to this with the targeting of 52 cultural sites, why he decided to respond this way can only due a miscalculation or a need to rush a response from the Iranian government. It wasn’t until a week afterwards when a volley of missiles was launched at a desolate US air force base in Iraq that it was made clear that Iran was not afraid to defend itself, at first, Iran’s inability to kill a single US troop was represented by the media as a display of their incompetence, but it was not long until it came to light that Iraq and the US had been warned about this attack and that the base had been picked due to its lack of personnel and unmanned buildings. It is at this point that we find ourselves, it is still unknown what will happen in the future but one thing is sure, a conflict with Iran will cost thousands of lives.
