And so, not even the global pandemic that put the world on strain could stop the inevitable reality that eventually we all grow up. The 2020 class is officially graduation this next week and some emotions are mixed to say the least. Some will be glad to be done with the online schooling that simply became a background chore that made us realize we just spent the entire morning typing on a screen. Others will be put to the reality that they are adults in the midst of the greatest global crisis of this century.
But even if emotions are mixed, caps will not be. The graduation will lack a party, a ceremony, a diner even. making it one of the most forgettable events that will most likely will not be forgotten by the public.

As soon as projections showed the curve beginning to flatten, Americans took it as a sign that the worst of the virus had already come and gone. Restaurants began to reopen, alongside shopping centers, precautions were lifted and, to some, greetings were given. To some, lives were back to normal.
But reality would soon hit America in the back, as it became the capital of coronavirus related deaths, that is without nationwide testings. And things are clearly not going to go back to normal anytime soon, as the curve resurges once more we can admit that Vietnam has scored one more against the US. As parts of the world heal from the ongoing pandemic, some others relapse into mass sickness. The US is one of the later, as their reopening of their nation was done as soon as the curve began to flatten, not understanding that such a sign indicates positive feedback of ongoing measures, not complete absolution of them.
But this didn't stop the US from sending a PMC cell from trying to sneak into the sovereign nation of Venezuela and throw a coup against their leadership. Sadly they did not expect their own social media account to tweet out the operation to president Trump. It is easy for one to sometimes forget about time as an entity at all, when spending time with those who we love, when doing things that bring us joy or when simply experiencing a second we wish lasted a lifetime. But when time becomes less of a preying watcher and instead a forceful jailor, it can be easy for seconds to carry the weight of lifetimes.
For many of us, this quarantine has been processed differently, some have decided to forget about time and loose themselves in the present, being surprised whenever someone attempts to update their weekly watch. Others have decided to set rigid schedules as to not lose their sense of time. But in the end, we can only make sure that we are here to see the start of the next day. As the ongoing crisis makes a comeback after a slight drop that was stopped by protest groups, the president who led them has decided to share with them a little miracle cure to the virus that they most likely caught while fighting for their rights as american exceptionalists. Bleach.
During a press conference, the president suggest multiple treatments for the virus, heat, light and of course, bleach. Bleach is known for being extremely effective at killing bacteria and viruses, too bad it also has a knack for killing entire human beings. As the ongoing crisis begins to flatten, it is met with not praise but desperation from multiple groups to become a thing of the past by sheer force of will. As protestors in Michigan have made it clear, they want their state to come back to norm, no matter if that causes another surge in outbreaks.Of course, this protests would be short lived if not for a strong leader to carry their followers through, who is this leader? The President of the United States.
Multitudes of elderly crowds gather around governmental bodies, demanding the quarantine to be dropped and for things to carry on as if nothing. Of course, they made sure there were no 6 feet between any of the protesters, so one can expect this crowds to be short lived, quite literally. With the ongoing worldwide crisis that has flipped the worldwide narrative over its head, some nations have been put to the test and surpassed the coronavirus known as COVID-19. The first nation to be hit by the virus was China, the state capitalist nation used its authoritarian fist of steel and strong manned it's citizens into quarantine, this measured proved to work, as China is one of the first nations to report little to no cases of the virus. Other nations, such as Vietnam, opted out for a more citizen friendly measure, by assuring assuring it's citizens needs, like financial security, healthcare and nutrition, during quarantine, they set a showcase for a how to eradicate pandemics before they become one on the nationwide scale.
But capitalist nation's such as the United States and Italy have proven how high profits are prioritized over the welfare of it's citizenry. Although the crisis is blowing the curtain off major structural issues within the capitalist nations, this does not hold in comparison to the way Iran was hit by the crisis. A mix of religious ignorance and nationwide poverty alongside a war torn region leave a perfect setting for a virus to sweep through with high casualty numbers, but none of these factors are as damning as the United States enforced sanctions. Thanks to them, hundreds of thousands have perished due to lack of medicine block by the sanctions, this is pre virus. Now that COVID-19 has entered the picture, it is only time until the economy is put back on track thanks to a rise on gravedigger demand on mass. With the battle for the democratic candidature waging on, it is natural for some candidates to come to terms with the fact that they have no path to the precidency. For some like Andrew Yang this was a hard pill to swallow but he managed to take it well and announce to his supporters that he was done for now. But for others that were promised much more by the heads of the DNC and pushed into the public by the mainstream media this is a sinking ship that will not go down alone. One such candidate is Elizabeth Warren who's entire premise relied on "I'm just like Bernie, but woman" and eventually deteriorated more and more, leaving key policies such as debt forgiveness and Medicare for All behind until all that was left was "I am a woman." This message was amplified during the last democratic debates prior to the Iowa Caucus, in which she attempted to accuse Sanders of being a sexist in an attempt to gain momentum prior to the caucus, this clearly backfired and only won her the nickname "Lyin Liz." So it was no surprise when right after Sanders victory in New Hampshire she held a press release in which she accused Sanders supporters of being divisive and hostile to the other candidates. This is all during a primary to determine who will run against Trump. You simply cannot make this stuff up.
With the Iowa caucus coming to an unclear official conclusion only one thing is clear, the battle for the democratic candidature is now between Sanders and Buttigeg, but an even number of combatants does not mean an even playing field and the Iowa Caucus itself should be a resonating message to the Bernie movement that Buttigeg is more than willing to nibble his way into a humiliating defeat against Trump, no matter how many holes he has to climb through. The events around the Iowa Caucus have stained the Buttigeg campaign with coat of distrust and corruption, but before these are listed out one thing has to be made clear, Sanders won and has the right to claim he did, with a six thousand vote lead over the Boy Mayor in a world that made sense this would not be disputed. And yet, the media conglomerates still have the audacity to claim that Sanders is “claiming” to be the winner while overlooking Buttigeg’s victory tweets hours prior to the results being released through a shadowy app. The company that developed the app, Shadow, has a good amount of reasons to carry such a cartoonishly suspicious name, with their CEO’s husband serving Buttigeg’s campaign as an advisor, but that wouldnt be the only direct tie to the “incompetent” former Hillary staffers (Oh right, I forgot to add that, the developers were former staffers of the 2016 Hillary campaign), Pete also directly paid Shadow fourty two thousand dollars for “software rights and subscriptions.” At the end of the day, this is a clear violation of American democracy that luckily did not fly over the American people.
Less than a month before the Iowa caucus, which would determine who in the democratic race was more likely to end as the candidate to take on Donald Trump, it was clear that the senator from Vermont, Bernard Sanders, who has a long history of staying consistent to his believes in the world of politics, was the leading candidate to take the state, according to multiple polls that had him leading above Biden and Warren, who battled for the second spot. The battle carried on that way until two days before the last democratic debate to air before the Iowa caucus, as CNN dropped a report in which Sanders was accused of misogyny according to sources to CNN, the story was of Sanders telling a female candidate that a woman would never be president, the story painted Sanders telling Warren that a woman could never be president. At first this seems like a damning piece that could shatter the reputation Sanders has accumulated through his many years of political activism and career, that is until they clarify that the incident happened a year ago in a private dinner between Warren and Sanders and that the source is Warren herself, his opponent in the race. It does not help that Sanders urged Warren to run in 2016, but she instead forced him to run against Clinton and then endorsed her. Warren also attempted to clarify that she did not think of Sanders as a misogynist, but then went on to a rant about how she believes women can win no matter what others say, clearly making up strawmans and proceeding to bashing them. Warren also then attempted to claim she was the only one on stage to have beaten a republican in an election in the past 30 years, to which Sanders responded with “I was elected in 1990, 30 years ago,” this visibly confused Warren as it was clear the 30 year bit was orchestrated to exclude Sanders and his superior number of victories, while Warren only has two. This course of actions make it clear the Warren campaign is death rattling and acknowledges it by throwing all they have to the clear leading candidate, Bernard Sanders.
